Editor settings are not your entire backup
Treat editor settings, project databases and source media as separate recovery needs.

Inventory what matters
Write down where your projects, media, settings, presets and third-party assets live. A settings export should not be assumed to include every file required to reopen a project.
Keep an independent copy
Use a separate, appropriate backup process for project databases and media. Avoid storing the only backup on the same disk as the working files.
Test a restore
Check the backed-up categories and version compatibility before restoration. Try a non-critical setup first and record any external assets or paths that need manual attention.
Where VAULTWORX fits
VAULTWORX supports settings backup and restore for DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere. Check the supported categories and restore instructions for your installed build. The website demonstration does not back up files.
